Mortgage Calculator Widget

I see a lot of crappie widgets out there. It’s not really too hard to make a widget. It’s just computer code and that means there are a lot of bad widgets out there. For those of you who don’t know what a widget is, it is a small web application that plugs into your existing web site. These widgets enhance your website quite easily.

So when our site sponsor told us that he had created a mortgage calculator widget, we were excited to see what he had created. I thought the idea sounded cool!

Mortgage amortization is really not too hard of a math formula. There’s even an Excel function built in to accomplish this task.

Simply put, alone calculator allows you take input different variables such as interest rate, loan amount, and mortgage term, so you can estimate your monthly mortgage payment. This comes in handy when you’re looking to purchase a new home because each home price is different for the most part. You’ll get to calculate these values on the fly.

For the most part in and put the same interest rate over and over. But values such as mortgage amount and mortgage length, also known as mortgage rate, are going to be changed quite frequently. You may even find a lower priced house and want to change your mortgage term to just fifteen years. If you have a monthly budget, and can afford a fifteen year payment, then that’s the way to go.
