I see a lot of crappie widgets out there. It’s not really too hard to make a widget. It’s just computer code and that means there are a lot of bad widgets out there. For those of you who don’t know what a widget is, it is a small web application that plugs into your existing web site. These widgets enhance your website quite easily.

So when our site sponsor told us that he had created a mortgage calculator widget, we were excited to see what he had created. I thought the idea sounded cool!

Mortgage amortization is really not too hard of a math formula. There’s even an Excel function built in to accomplish this task.

You may even find a lower priced house and want to change your mortgage term to just fifteen years. If you have a monthly budget, and can afford a fifteen year payment, then that’s the way to go.
